Sales and Development managers are usually found in every industry but the duties may be different. The hospitality’s sales and development managers are responsible to develop and promote business through pro-active direct sales, marketing, telemarketing, direct mail, appointment calls and tours of the hotel. They are also accountable for improving important action plans for the hotel to drive increased sales revenue.
Radisson Hotel Group is one of the largest hotel groups – with a growing portfolio of more than 1,400 hotels open or under contracted development, an oblate spheroidal footprint in more than 114 countries and an expanding set of distinctive global brands.
Yesterday, the Radisson group announced two new appointments to its Americas development team. These new team members will play an important role in strongly driving development efforts across Latin America, which is key to the company’s overall growth strategy in the Americas.
Adrian François joins the team in an adviser capacity as director of Franchise Sales and Development. François will focus on growing Radisson Hotel Group’s portfolio in South America specifically targeting Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay. He will be based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
François has a strong sales and development background working for several hospitality companies in Latin America. Most recently, he served as director of Sales and Development for L.E. Hotels, where he planned and executed sales strategies to increase the company’s growth in Latin America.
He also served as director of Sales and Business Development for a company that develops and implements integrated systems for corporate hospitality and held a sales and marketing role at Nikki Beach Hotels and Resorts.
Tom Osborn joins Radisson Hotel Group as director of Franchise Sales and Development. Osborn is based in Miami and will work towards increasing the presence of the company’s brands in the Caribbean.
Prior to joining Radisson Hotel Group, Osborn had an extensive career with Best Western International, where he was a regional director of North American Development and was recognized with multiple salesman of the year honors.
